Within Canada, there are 11 recognized official languages, with English and French being the two official languages of the country. While English is used by 57% of the population, 21% of the remaining speak French Canadian. Currently, many of these events are on hold, rescheduled, or even banned, while others are exclusively virtual. This does not mean, however, that there is no opportunity for interpreters to find work, but they must adapt to the new landscape.
